Custom rainwater harvesting systems
Rainwater harvesting has been used around the world for centuries. Cisterns and other rain collection systems are widely used in Europe, Asia, Australia, and many other regions where residents often depend solely on rain for their day to day water needs.
When water supply is limited or unpredictable, rainwater harvesting can provide the answer. Rainwater harvesting systems provide non-potable stormwater containment, which can be used for irrigation, washing cars, flushing toilets, washing clothes, and pressure washing. It can also be purified to use as drinking water.
Rainwater harvesting is also an environmentally-conscious and cost-effective means of collecting rain and snow from various surfaces and storing it for later use.
Easterday-Wilson Water Services designs and installs custom rainwater harvesting systems for residences, as well as large commercial and industrial properties.
How it works
Our water experts install custom, cast-in-place concrete subterranean storage tanks that can range from 500 to 600,000 gallons.
We then design a pumping system to provide water for your needs.
We install booster pumps to create pressure for irrigation and other non-potable purposes, including:
- Washing cars
- Pressure washing the house
- Indoor plumbing (flushing toilets, etc.)
If needed, we can supplement your rainwater harvesting system with well water, providing sustainability during times of drought.
The benefits of rainwater harvesting systems:
- Efficient use of free, pure water
- Saves money on utilities
- Reduces the effects of erosion and runoff
- No pollutants, contaminants, or sediment
- Prolongs the life of your water-dependent appliances and equipment
- Boosts the value of your home or property
When you decide the time is right to invest in a rainwater collection system, Easterday-Wilson has the knowledge and experience to help you plan for hundreds of rainy days.
